The Boalt Hall Student Association (BHSA) is composed of all registered students at the UC Berkeley law school. Each year, a Council is elected to represent the student body.

The BHSA Council represents student interest in curriculum planning, admissions policy, faculty hiring, administration of the library, professional placement, and many other concerns.

The Council is also responsible for the allocation of Association funds to student organizations, the appointment of student representatives on faculty-student committees, and the issuance of endorsement and policy statements on behalf of the Association.

BHSA organizes activities of general law school interest and helps new students adjust to life at Boalt by sponsoring social, athletic, and law-related events.
