At this fundraising banquet, ELQ honors not only influential members of the environmental community through the Environmental Leadership Award but also sponsors the year’s best student writers with our writing awards.
Environmental Leadership Award
ELQ created the Environmental Leadership Award in 1996 to recognized influential members of the environmental community, create a connection between ELQ and the wider environmental community, and raise public consciousness of ELQ. It is given each year at ELQ's Annual Banquet.

Race Judicata
Race Judicata is a 5/10k race around the UC Berkeley campus sponsored by ELQ. Please register for the 2013 race here. Race Judicata raises funds for fellowships to support unpaid summer public interest and public sector positions. Come join us and run for a worthy cause.

Guac Fest
Four times a year, ELQ publishes an issue of our quarterly print journal. To celebrate each publication, ELQ splurges on the avocados, onions, salsa, chips, and beer so that we can share these festive occasions with the entire student body. So, every time you smell quac in the courtyard, come join us in toasting the latest issue.
Spring Pledge Drive
Every spring, ELQ holds a pledge drive to raise money for our fellowships, which support otherwise under-funded public interest and public sector environmental summer work.
