Purpose: The outlines provided here are for educational purposes only and their use should comply with Boalt Hall's Academic Honor Code.

Submissions: Outlines should be submitted with the file name saved as follows: Class_Professor_YearSemester. Files will be accepted in .doc, .sxw, .pdf, .ppt, .txt, and .wpd formats, or any the above formats compressed as a .zip, .lzh, or .gz file.

Copyright: Please note that all outlines are copyrighted by their individual authors. The students freely license them to other Boalt students for personal use. Commercial services are absolutely not permitted to access, harvest or use these outlines.

The Fine Print

Disclaimer: These outlines are not endorsed or reviewed by professors (or, necessarily, other students). They are created by students and may include inaccuracies, biases, or missing material. Also, please note that professors change material from year to year, so all outlines should be used as supplements, not as replacements, to notes from the current semester.

Numbering: Outlines are numbered basically in the order we get them. Outline #1 does not mean that it is more complete or more accurate.

Format: Outlines are in MS Word format unless otherwise noted. Outlines in ZIP format include more than one document, and we've tried to note if PowerPoint (PPT), Excel, or other formats are included.

Viruses: We do scan all documents for viruses but that is only as good as our virus software. If viruses are a concern for you, you should have virus software of your own to check all material downloaded from the Internet. You can also avoid most viruses by simply using a Mac or Linux.

Check with your journal or membership organization. Many student organizations have outline banks, either on their web-site or in hardcopy in the organization's office. Outline banks that are online are often password-protected because people are too cliquish.
